TO APPEAR ON CNBC’s “CAPITAL REPORT WITH ALAN MURRAY AND TYLER MATHISEN”

WHAT: Michael K. Powell, FCC Chairman, and Duane Ackerman, CEO of BellSouth, will join CNBC Washington Bureau Chief Alan Murray and Tyler Mathisen on CNBC’s “Capital Report.” In separate interviews, Powell and Ackerman will be asked about the state of the telecom industry and what can be done to fix the sector; what happened at Worldcom/Global Crossing/Qwest; and if deregulation of telecommunications been good or bad for the American economy.

WHO: “Capital Report with Alan Murray and Tyler Mathisen” features interviews with top political leaders from Congress and the administration and focuses on the impact that actions in Washington are having on business and the economy.
