NBC lights up the holidays with this new special, a coast-to-coast toast to creative Americans whose decorations shine in the spirit of the season. The various segments will include the Osbornes…no, not them, but an Arkansas family whose elaborate Christmas display arouses the ire of distraught neighbors who are so upset with the resulting traffic that they go to court. Other featured segments will include home holiday decorations from viewers who submit their own videotapes as well as a friendly Las Vegas neighborhood whose collective ornamental candlepower overpowers the renowned light from the nearby Strip, and “Wired Wonderland” — a look at the Ghost of Christmas Future — how technology wizards are using computers to do the decorating. In addition, the special introduces “Deck the House” where two sisters swap homes and decorations, and with the help of a decorating expert, transform their homes.
