FEAR FACTOR KICKS OFF ‘BLIZZARD MONDAY’ ON NBC – After a “blizzard” hits the set of “Fear Factor,” contestants must balance themselves atop a spinning Ferris wheel and determine which key will unlock the chain binding them to a platform chained to a submerged platform. To warm their insides, they must consume a “Fear Factor Pizza” composed of a bile-based crust, coagulated blood sauce and rancid cheese, and a possible additional toppings of red worms, fish eyes, or a combination of the two. Hosted by Joe Rogan, “Fear Factor” features six contestants who are confronted with a series of challenging stunts under the supervision of professional Hollywood stunt coordinators. In pulse-racing episode, contestants compete against themselves and each other with extreme challenges in the hope of taking home a cash prize of up to $50,000 at the end of the hour. John de Mol (“Big Brother”) and Matt Kunitz (“Dog Eat Dog”) are the executive producers of this series from Endemol Entertainment USA..
