Set to premiere in first-run syndication on September 9, 2002, “The John Walsh Show” is a one-hour daily talk show that will deal with topical and social issues people care about. Though the talk show is based in a New York studio, Walsh will spend time in the field and the show will travel as major stories happen.

Walsh’s compassion and credibility is so widely recognized that the White House called on him during the recent terrorist attacks to help the American people come to terms and better understand the war on terrorism. In addition, the FBI called on Walsh after the Oklahoma City bombings to help with the investigation and bring the perpetrators to justice.

Walsh currently hosts “America’s Most Wanted,” one of the five longest running primetime series on network television. Returning for it’s 15th season this coming Fall, the show consistently ranks #1 among key adults and has helped capture hundreds of criminals, including 15 from the FBI’s most wanted list and the notorious convicts known as the “Texas 7.”

In addition to presenting current issues of interest to daytime audiences, Walsh will profile local heroes from across the country. Working with station affiliates across the country, Walsh will showcase an individual who has made a difference in the lives of others. Another component of “The John Walsh Show” reflects Walsh’s role as a tireless children’s advocate – each week, Walsh will offer insight on a variety of ways that parents can protect their children.

Alexandra Jewett (“Donahue”) will serve as Executive Producer and media figure Jerry Nachman will serve as Executive Consultant. Currently cleared in 85% of the country, “The John Walsh Show” will be taped at 30 Rockefeller Center in New York City, produced by NBC Studios and distributed in national syndication by NBC Enterprises.
