BURBANK, Calif. — November 13, 2002 — NBC celebrates the landmark 100th episode of the Emmy-Award-winning “Will & Grace” with a one-hour episode (Thursday, November 21, 8:30-9:30 p.m. ET) featuring guest stars Debbie Reynolds, Katie Couric of NBC’s “Today” and Harry Connick, Jr. in his continuing role as Grace’s boyfriend Leo.
The hour-long episode, “Marry Me a Little, Marry Me a Little More,” begins when Grace (Debra Messing) impulsively accepts a marriage proposal from Leo (Connick) at a mass wedding in Central Park. But from then on, it’s anything but the wedding of Grace’s dreams, as there seem to be countless obstacles between her and an actual walk down the aisle, not the least of which is her best friend Will’s (Eric McCormack’s) unease about the whole idea.
Also weighing in are Jack (Sean Hayes), Karen (Megan Mullally) and Rosario (Shelley Morrison), who are a more than a bit uncertain about accepting newcomer Leo into their little group.
Feature-film legend Reynolds (“Singin’ in the Rain”) returns as Grace’s mother, Bobbi Adler; “Today” host Couric appears as herself, covering the mass wedding in the park for “Today” and setting the whole story in motion when she innocuously asks Grace and Leo if they “feel like getting married today.”
Following the episode, NBC will broadcast a peek at some of the unseen bloopers and humorous outtakes from the series’ 100 episodes (Thursday, November 21, 9:30-10 p.m. ET).
David Kohan and Max Mutchnick are the creators and executive producers of “Will & Grace.” James Burrows is director and executive producer. Jeff Greenstein and Jhoni Marchinko are executive producers and showrunners. The episode was written by Jeff Greenstein and producer Bill Wrubel. “Will & Grace” is a production of KoMut Entertainment in association with NBC studios/Three Sisters Entertainment.
